Magic: The Gathering Elf Deck help?
I'm trying to build a good elf deck in MTG, but I don't have many green cards and I don't know where to start. The only elf theme decks I know of are Elvish Rage (which is old and expensive) and Elvish Predation (which appears to be out of stock everywhere). Would either of these decks be a good base for an elf deck? If not, are there any specific sets of singles that I can buy that would give me a good feel for the elf play style? I don't know enough about aggro decks to try to build my own, and I want a solid base that I can tweak when I get more comfortable with it.
If you can find it, I see Elvish Predation as a very good start. Looking at singles, start off with 4 Imperious Perfect (Lorwyn set - a lot of good tribal elves are from Lorwyn but you probably already know that). The IP are almost a must have for any green elvens. They'll boost the elves you have while giving you chances to add more. Mana producers such as the basic Lannowar Elves is also a good start. Find a combo with your mana and creatures that works well for you and you'll be set
