How many 20 sided dice and counters should I buy for Magic: The Gathering?
I just started playing Magic: The Gathering, and I bought one 20 sided die. The store I went to didn't have any Chessex stones to use as counters, so I couldn't buy any.
How many pairs of 20sided dice should a MTG player own to keep track of his life?
How many counters should I keep with my deck?
I want to have enough to be useful, but not too many, since I want them to be able to fit in my deck box, along with my cards with protectors on them. I'm not going to have a deck larger than 60 cards, but I might make a side board.

I want everything to fit in my deck box is because I'd like to have everything in one place in my backpack.
Also, where can I buy dice to use with the game online?
I decided not to use a sideboard, since I'm not planning on going into tournaments.
in your card box you're only going to have room for your cards. other things in your card box will nick your cards and if you;re going to nick your cards, then whats the point of having card protectors. As for your dice I would just go with 1 because if you gain life and it puts you past 20. Lets say your total is at 20 life and you gain 6, you could simply put the die at 6. or you could get 2 dice its your choice. As for counters you could use 6 sided dice and when a creature of yours gets say +3/+3 just put the die at 3 and then place it on your creature. As something to put your dice, counters, etc. in, you could always use a small cloth bag. I like to keep mine in a crown royal bag
