Why fetchlands enemies are worth so much?
I am relatively new to Magic: The Gathering, and it is one thing I do not understand. There are several new countries in MTG zendikar that called enemy fetchlands (ie arid MESA) I was curious why this would be useful in a deck and also why they are worth so much money?
They allow you to bring a country of one of several types by unused on the battlefield. The unused part is really the one that matters. How many games have been lost when the loser has looked at his last drop of land and thought, "if it only come to the battlefield unused ".... I think I lost a game that Nationals. There is a reason Terramorphic Expanse is a common and scalds Tarns is a rare.
